A Crafty Holiday

This holiday season, me, plus about 35 other bloggers, are avoiding the busy department stores and instead buying handmade.  We are all participating in a blog hop event called “A Crafty Holiday”, hosted by me here at The Artists’ House.  Together, we will share a ring of posts encouraging others to buy handmade by showcasing beautiful handmade items to our readers.  We will jump from blog to blog, one beautiful handmade item to the next, making it all the way to mid-December.

Won’t you follow us?

About a month ago, I wrote a guest post at Scoutie Girl, talking about why I felt it was important to buy handmade.  You can read the article titled Help Share A Handmade Holiday here…

Today, I thought I would simply share an acrostic with you –words that describe the reasons behind why I buy handmade.

Without further ado, a few items from my holiday shopping list…

For my daughter Monet:

A dress from All The Numbers

A cardigan from B. Children’s Wear

For my husband Josh:

A framed insect display from Real Butterfly Gifts.  Honestly, this is ALL my husband wants –that and money because he wants to buy a new mountain bike.  He’s such a weirdo and that’s why I love him…

For me:

Also, Paige over at Where Women Create wrote a post today talking about why she buys handmade.

And tomorrow, Linda from a la mode will be sharing her handmade holiday shopping list with us.

Wishing you, a crafty holiday!

    Hey Angela,

I can’t believe it’s November already! Your handmade shopping list has inspired me to take a closer look at what I want to get for others this holiday season. I’ve already gotten a few things, because I like to get my holiday shopping done early 🙂 but I’m so far from done….

I hope you have a lovely day!

Love you list! The slippers are adorable, I too love that insect shop, although I’m partial to the butterflies and dragonflies and little sapling toys are so cute plus, they plant a tree for every item sold – spectacular!
