Last Bunch of Interactive Play Quilts
August 23, 2011
I’ve been working around the clock these days, trying to finish up the nine interactive play quilts I was commissioned to make. I’m happy to report that I finally finished the last bunch. As of Saturday, they are in the mail. Would you like to see?
The bugs in this piece are interactive and there is a hidden pocket behind one of the grasses.
This interactive play quilt is a map of downtown D.C. –all the vehicles are interactive and stick to the road.
There is a hidden pocket, to hold the play patches, behind the water.
This piece has play patches of apples and birds and the pocket is hidden in the apple basket.
They also wanted one of my tic-tac-toe quilts, with a pocket and play patches of X’s and O’s.
The very last piece I made was an applique scene of a library, meant to hang in their reading area.
I’m happy to be finished with this order so that I can finish up two other custom quilts this month, and then finally, hopefully I’ll be able to do some nesting and get ready for the baby boy who is growing rapidly in my stomach and kicking me constantly. I have his quilt completely planned out, and I can’t wait to start on it!
